Hip Hop/Rap covers by indie artist are far from new and I am pretty certain Ben Folds started the tradition with his cover of Dr. Dre's song "Bitches Ain't Shit". And since then every year or so someone does one that catches, this time it is Anya Marina's cover of T.I.'s song "Whatever You Like".
