So long 2009...

DJ Earworm has taken the Top 25 hits of 2009, according to Billboard and arranged and mashed them all into one 4 and 1/2 minute song. I am pretty impressed that this can be done and made into a reasonably enjoyable song. It even has a bit of a theme and a decent song structure.

According to the youtube page the boy is only 5, from Japan, speaks only japanese, and has been playing the ukulele for a year. Again WOW music is amazing! If he is not collaborating with them he is sampling them....LCD Soundsystem, Band of Horses, Ratatat, MGMT, and Little Boots, just to name a few. In this latest track floating around, "Cudderisback", dat kid named Cudi samples Vampire Weekend's song "Ottoman". Keep doing what you do Cudi cause I am a sucker for indie samples.

Fyfe Dangerfield

Fyfe Dangerfield the front man for the UK’s Guillemots has an upcoming debut solo album, “Fly Yellow Moon” dropping this January, & the album’s new single "She Needs Me" is out. The first leaked single "When You Walk In The Room" caught my ear a while back but I didn't want to comment on it until I had a chance to hear another song from his solo project. Needless to say I think we'll be hearing a lot more buzz about this album as we head into the new year.
