I came across this video when i was checking out a blog i like Fresh Creation. I have read Malcolm Gladwell's Book "Outliers: The Story of Sucess". He gives a fresh perspective on the way our culture works. In this video the best-selling author uses The Beatles as an example to question the existence of genuine musical prodigies. He attributes a large measure of the band's success to the experience they gained while playing as the house band for a strip club in Hamburg, Germany. Weather you think they are prodigies or not, they are no doubt one of the greatest bands of all time.
This is Felix Da Housecat's new music video for "LA Ravers" off his new album He Was King. This track is an ode to legendary Los Angeles music festival, Monster Massive scheduled for this Halloween in LA. Below is an old remix Felix Da Housecat did of Nina Simone's "Sinnerman".
Who knew you could sample old country music like Patsy Cline's song "Strange" and make it sound relevant. She passed away over 45 years ago and Sharam and Cudi resurrect her from the dead. I have been listening to this song for a couple months and it definitely grows on you.
This is the latest video from french electro thrash producer The Toxic Avenger for the song "Toxic is Dead". The heavy synth is powerful and original which makes the video even more pulse-pounding to watch. The video and song will leave all his fans screaming "Whattt!! Toxic can't die!!!".
This is the video for Little Boots' new song "Earthquake". The single is set to be released November 23. Below is a remix of Little Boots' last single she released "Remedy" and a remix of her song "Love Kills".
This post may seem a little dated since Udachi and Jubilee's Ep Paypur, which includes the song "Paypur" and "Smoke Rings", came out on Sept. 8th but I don't care.
The Twilight: New Moon Soundtrack is out Oct 20th and the line up of artists that are on it is pretty good, wish i could say that about the movies (actually i haven't seen the movies).
She is the spearhead of electro 2.0, and after years of spreading chaos with the club kids of the modern world, the princess of freestyle is ready to take the next step: put out her long-awaited 1st album!
This is a family affair, co-produced with some of the greatest electro geniuses of our times (Feadz, Mr Oizo, Sebastian, Mirwais). Her album “Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans” will be out early 2010 and should electrify the world.
Additional tip: there is an electrochocking duo with Pharrell Williams, no less.
In the meantime, Uffie is sending you this exclusive video as a postcard for her classic song “POP THE GLOCK”. (article courtesy of her vimeo page)
